More About Farewell III (Fidermark/Rosenkavalier/Apart):
There are stallions that have a good walk and there are stallions that have a very good walk … and then there's Farewell III! When he starts to move, then you know why the Florestan line, and particularly the branch through the former Bundeschampion, Fidermark, who was trained up to Grand Prix, is esteemed so highly. His gaits, which are outstanding, earned him the title of Vice Bundeschampion when he was just three years old. In the following year, under Sandra Kötter, he competed in the finals after leaving all of his cohorts in the warm up test behind and finished on 4th place. In 2005, when he was five years old, he took 3rd place in the final qualification in the class for five year olds in Warendorf. These achievements were preceded by uncountable first and other places in novice and elementary level dressage tests with scores up to 8.8.
In spite of the significance of the Westphalian trademark stallion, Florestan, who sired not less than three young dressage horse World Champions, the dam's side of the pedigree should not be forgotten. Farewell III's dam, Riga, was a Westphalian Reserve Champion Mare and produced four licensed sons four years in a row, the most successful of which was her third born son, Fidermark. Her pedigree catches your attention: through Rosenkavalier and Apart who is by the Thoroughbred, Angelo, her pedigree reminds you of Rubinstein. Riga's full sister, Roxanne, is also the dam of a licensed stallion. Her son, Florentianer, is one of the top sires in Rhineland Pfalz-Saar and participated at the 2005 Bundeschampionat for dressage horses.
In view of his very uniform first foal crop that were evaluated with high scores, Farewell III ranked third among the stallions of his age group in Oldenburg in 2004 and he received the Ic main premium.
He wowed all of Germany in 2006 when he won the Championship of the 6 year old dressage horses at the Bundeschampionats.
At the recent CDI-W in Frankfurt on Dec.17-20, 2009 Farewell III competed in the highly contested 2009 Nurnberg Burgpokal Finals - FINALS - (Prix St. Georges). With rider Marcus Gribbe, he qualified for the Finals and scored a 72.750%, winning third place.

Riccione

Riccione was one of the most desirable candidates at the 1998 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, making a strong impression with his gorgeous appearance and extravagant movements. He won riding horse tests and champions' finals with scores of 9.0 or higher. In his Stallion Performance Test he confirmed the expectations of the breeders by scoring the highest for rideability (guest judge score: twice 10.0) and became the Reserve Champion of the test. Riccione won several M-level classes and is trained at Grand Prix level.
He brings interesting and exciting blood through his dam, the State Premium Mare Arosa. She received the top score of 10.0 for rideability from the judges and guest judge riders in her Mare Performance Test. With the extraordinarily beautiful Trakehner, Arogno as sire and the Hanoverian foundation stallion Bolero as dam sire, Arosa carries classical dressage blood. Riccione's sire, our own Regazzoni, was the Champion of the Stallion Performance Test in Münster-Handorf and became Reserve Champion at the 1995 Bundeschampionate.
Riccione's offspring are impressive in type and movement. They are very popular at auctions in Hanover, Westphalia, Bavaria, and more. He has twelve licensed sons just from his first crop of foals; two of which were Reserve Licensing Champions and two reserve 30-day test champions. He also produced several Bundeschampionate finalists and State Premium Mares.

Furthermore, Riccione was highly placed in the NRW Heritability Index for stallions of his year of birth and in the German FN-Breeding Value Index. His statistics and competition results are very impressive for a 10-year old stallion.
