Additional Fees: Cooled Semen
The Distribution Fee below must be paid in advanced of each shipment by check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover). All cooled semen shipments are sent using the Equitainer, which we believe provides the most reliable, consistent cooling of semen.

Frozen Semen distribution is handled by Select Breeders Service, Inc (SBS). The Distribution fee must be paid in advance of each shipment by check.

Breeding Discounts

Some restrictions on types of discounts, or the maximum number of discounts, for a particular stallion may apply. Contact Wood’s Lane Farm, LLC to discuss all the options based on your mares and the stallion(s) of your choice.

10% Quality Incentive Discounts:

Premium, Elite Mare Candidate, Elite, or Keur Mares
Premium Producing Mares
- Mares must have produced 3 premium offspring
Performance Proven Mares
- Performance proven mares must be proven at FEI-level dressage, High Preliminary Jumpers, or CCI** Level Eventing, Regular or Conformation Working Hunters

Multiple Mare Discounts: First mare will be booked at full price. Additional mares receive 10% off.

Return Breeders: 10% discount for returning breeders.

Early Booking: 10% discount for contracts booked prior to December 31st, 2009.

Breeding Reminders

Semen Collection and Shipping Guidelines (please share this information with your veterinarian)

Please Note: Wood’s Lane Farm, LLC is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST).
Please verify with Fed Ex in advance that it accepts your physical mailing address and/or zip code for Saturday delivery; if not, determine the nearest ‘Hold for Pickup’ location.
Call (301) 829-6354 between 8 am and 4 pm (EST) on the first day of heat during the cycle you wish to breed.
Call (301) 829-6354 by 6pm (EST) on the day prior to semen shipment (2 days prior to estimated date of insemination) to arrange an appointment for stallion collection on the next day.
VERY IMPORTANT: We do not accept fax or email requests for collection or shipment. Call us per guidelines above.
Frozen semen shipments are send only via Fed Ex or UPS overnight. If you have a frozen semen storage tank, you may order these well in advance of insemination.
Cooled semen shipments: Stallions are collected Monday through Friday and shipped via Fed Ex or UPS overnight. Please notify Wood’s Lane Farm, LLC no later than 6 pm (EST) on the day prior to semen shipment (2 days prior to estimated date of insemination) to arrange an appointment for stallion collection on the next day.
Stallions are not collected on Memorial Day (5/31/10).
Stallion semen shipments scheduled the day before and after holidays may be restricted to airlines only.
